About this product
Double Wood Supplements Alpha-Ketoglutaric Acid (akg) 1000mg Capsules Price in Pakistan
Alpha-Ketoglutaric Acid (AKG) is a ketone derivative of glutaric acid which is found naturally in the human body where it has a number of functions including acting as an intermediate step in the Krebs cycle, helping to form amino acids, transporting nitrogen, and acting as an antioxidant. While AKG plays many roles in the body, it is commonly supplemented by athletes to support athletic performance, and as a supplement to support longevity. This function has been established in multiple animal studies but there has yet to be any human trials to see if this benefit is also true for humans.
Benefits:
- NITRIC OXIDE BOOSTER: AKG may act as a precursor for both arginine and nitric oxide to help boost levels of both in the body
- SUPPORT HEALTHY AGING: Studies show AKG may support healthy aging
- DIFFERENT FROM AAKG: Don’t confuse AKG with AAKG. AKG is pure Alpha Ketoglutarate. AAKG is a combination of Arginine and Alpha Ketoglutarate
- THREE MONTH SUPPLY: Each bottle provides a 3 month supply: 180 capsules, providing 1,000mg of AKG per serving
- WE BOTTLE WELLNESS: At Double Wood we provide pure, potent supplements that deliver exceptional value, all backed by careful sourcing and rigorous third-party testing. Common spellings include (AKG, Alpha-Ketoglutaric Acid, and Alpha Ketoglutaric)

As a supplement for athletic performance, we recommend taking between 2-4 capsules of Alpha-Ketoglutaric Acid (1000 – 1500 mg) about an hour before competing. As a daily supplement for longevity, we recommend taking two capsules per day (1000 mg).
As AKG is water soluble it does not need to be taken with food for proper absorption. We do not recommend exceeding 4 capsules per day.
